These meatballs made in a slow cooker are delicious and comforting, and they're great for busy weeknights. The slow cooking lets the flavors blend, making meatballs that are soft and covered in a rich marinara sauce and melted cheese.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 24 oz jar marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions:
Put breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Mix the ground beef and cheese together
Use your hands to form the meat into balls, then put them in the slow cooker
Spread the marinara sauce on top of the meatballs
Put the lid on and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours or high for 3 to 4 hours, or until the meatballs are fully cooked
At the end of the cooking time, add the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the meatballs
Serve hot, and if you want, top with more parsley
